Engineer I
Basic Function :
Provide geotechnical recommendation and/or services to the PTFI U/G Mines by directing the design, support and monitoring of geotechnical aspects of U/G Mine facilities and operations to ensure safe and efficient operation of U/G Mines.
Job Responsibility :
1. Analyze ground condition and design for appropriate support or repair for new or old U/G mine facilities for all U/G areas (including provide warning of unsafe conditions).
2. Analyze ground movement and damage progress to provide appropriate action plans, in order to ensure safety of the miners and also to achieve production target.
3. Monitor cave progression by surface subsidence, TDR instruments and cave inspection. Provide warning of impending impacts to critical mine facilities, such as ventilation raises, ore passes and other production facilities.
4. Monitor drift and area workings stability, particularly for complex and high risk areas, using geotechnical devices to ensure safe and efficient operation of U/G Mines.
5. Plan drilling for TDR and coordinate with other sections for setting the rig.
6. Monitor of the ore passes system, which transports ore from mine to mill, is conducted routinely and analyzed to detect impending failures. Recommend re-support or repair of ore passes as required.
7. Act as wet muck engineer as required to conduct of routine monitoring and monthly meeting of wet muck hazards in U/G mine & reporting requirements of Indonesia Department of Mines and Energy (DOME).
8. Develop skills of subordinates following plans.
9. Meet the PTFI Safety and Environmental Programs and standards.
